A Method for Longevity
Our move methodology is rooted in the science of transforming the brain and training the body for longevity. For a body to maintain its physical and mental fitness over a long period of time, it must have a strong heart, lungs, and vascular system. It also requires muscles that move well and can withstand stress and load as well as sturdy bones that can move through a healthy range of motion with ease. And lastly, to move in a way that builds a resilient mind that is capable of returning to a healthy baseline quickly after a spike in stress.
We design through the intelligence of fitness – cardiovascular conditioning, strength, power, mobility, and recovery – with the wisdom of mindfulness. Our classes are designed to push your body beyond its comfort zone in a safe, effective way. Each Open MOVE class is complementary to other studio experiences, offering you a well-rounded, holistic approach to physical and mental fitness.
Our programming draws techniques from Pilates and barre to yin yoga and power yoga. It also utilizes plyometric and bodyweight movements often found in strength training and works to elevate your heart rate, as seen in popular conditioning workouts. Because our MOVE classes are rooted in the best of various fitness and mindfulness techniques, it has become its own genre of workout that cannot be classified under just one umbrella. Here’s a look at the three different movement classes we offer in the Open app and at our in-person studio in Los Angeles:
FLOW: Mobility + Conditioning
By regularly elevating one’s heart rate through endurance training and conditioning workouts, the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, stroke, and diabetes is significantly lowered. This form of movement has also been shown to reduce overall stress levels throughout the day. FLOW is a whole-body workout that conditions your muscles, elevates your heart rate, and targets your core, all while moving your joints through a healthy range of motion.
Benefits
- Tones muscle and burns fat
- Increases energy
- Lowers blood pressure
- Strengthens immune system

POWER: Strength + Conditioning
Strength training is crucial when it comes to your body’s ability to withstand stress and heavy loads. That’s why a longevity workout routine regularly incorporates some form of strength training. In our POWER classes, we blend bodyweight and weighted exercises with explosive plyometric movement to build muscle and improve physical strength and resilience.

RESTORE: Mobility + Recovery
Flexibility training and recovery through stretching classes not only reduces the risk of injury, but will also allow you to slow down and train your mind in tandem with your body. We know that your body is only as resilient as your mind is, so taking time to recover and focus on mindfulness is crucial. Our RESTORE classes are focused on improving flexibility through stretching and aiding recovery through slower flows that are easier on joints and muscles.

- Improves sleep
- Improves performance of physical activities
