“When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change” - Wayne Dyer
Danielle has always felt most at ease when connected to her body. Growing up as a gymnast, she found comfort in physical movement, but it wasn’t until college, after attending her first yoga class, that she experienced a sense of awakening and strength she hadn’t felt in years. In 2015, Danielle completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in Venice, CA, deepening her personal practice and bringing yoga into her work with children. She strives to empower her students, creating space for them to connect with both the depth and playful curiosity that yoga offers.
Danielle emphasizes permission in her classes, encouraging students to honor their bodies, push to their personal edge, and embrace the practice without comparison. For her, breath is the gateway into presence, and she integrates this deeply into every class. While she loves the challenge and strength of a powerful flow, she also values the balance and healing found in yin and restorative yoga, having personally experienced the emotional release and transformation they offer. Yoga, for Danielle, is a deeply personal practice that also fosters connection within the community, something she values and integrates into every session.
What does it mean to you to be present?
The spiritual teacher Bree Melanson describes presence as 'the home within me that is expansive and still,' reminding us to 'come home often.' To me, presence means freedom—it's the space where I can be fully at home with myself while embracing the expansiveness of the moment.
